pHEK293 Ultra Expression Vectors

Expression in mammalian cells allows for proper protein folding and post-translational modification, features that are key for proper protein function in vitro. The pHEK293 Ultra Expression Vectors enable ultra-high, transient overexpression of a protein of interest in human HEK 293 cells.

  • Exploits the HIV-1 TAR-Tat system to express a protein of interest at ultra-high levels
  • Obtain up to 10 times higher protein production than with conventional CMV promoter driven expression systems

Two options are available

  • pHEK293 Ultra Expression Vector I
    • single plasmid for overexpression a protein of interest in HEK293 cells
  • pHEK293 Ultra Expression Vector II
    • includes the pHEK293 Enhancer Vector
    • expression level of the target protein can be optimized by varying ratio of the two plasmids that are used for transfection
