The Smart Extraction fundamentally alters the process of isolating and purifying nucleic acids is by eliminating the need for a number of work sequences, extra materials and specialized equipment. The Smart Modified Surface ensures that the entire process takes place right inside the pipette tip. Cybio FeliX  also provides high throughput automation of isolation of plasmid DNA from bacteria and bacterial transformation.

Isolation of plasmid DNA from bacterial cultures

  • Isolation of high quality plasmid DNA
  • Yields suitable for downstream applications such as sequencing or transformation
  • 96-well silica filter-plate plasmid extraction kit
  • The compact platform reduces the bench space
  • It can be  combinated with a bench top centrifuge and robotic arm

 

Suggested set-up positions for the CyBio FeliX deck. Each RoboTipTray is used for a specific reagents, according to its position.

 

Bacterial transformation

  • For 1-96 samples
  • Fully automated method for the high-throughput transformation and growth of bacteria cells
  • Multi-well plate based method for transformation of DNA plasmid into bacteria cells by heat shock
  • Using of additional heating/cooling blocks
